CS Academy is a free, online educational program provided to teach middle and high school students Python in a curriculum created by Carnegie Mellon University but with the hands-on guidance and support of teachers. I started my CS Academy internship by learning the material through the site itself and listening to teacher feedback to find ways to improve the current live curriculum. After the summer, I was asked to work as part of a small team on developing their new curriculum, CS3, to develop some of the major screens and assets that students would be seeing, with the major goal of transitioning students from their CS1 designed interface to one that more closely resembles the interactions of the full Python interface with less scaffolding.
